The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Accountability and Implementation Board (AIB) is seeking feedback from stakeholders and the public on the Draft Blueprint Comprehensive Implementation Plan. The Plan is available for direct download here as well as on the AIB’s website here. Additionally, updated Pillar implementation graphics are available for download in an editable Excel file here.

The initial draft of the Blueprint Comprehensive Plan includes multiple sections. The plan outline indicates which sections are available. Section 9, which includes the minimum guidelines and criteria for success for LEA and State implementation plans is not yet available. These sections continue to be developed, in collaboration with MSDE in the case of LEA plans, and will be released as soon as possible.

Feedback can be submitted using this form and a public hearing will be held virtually on Thursday, November 10 beginning at 1:00 pm. More details will be provided soon regarding the timing and process for signing up to testify.

Development of the draft plan by the AIB has included eight public working sessions from June through September 2022. These working sessions allowed interested stakeholders and the public to understand the development and components of the Blueprint, the specifics of implementation requirements, and to raise any questions, comments, or implementation considerations.

The Comprehensive Implementation Plan will be adopted by the AIB  by December 1 to guide the implementation of the Blueprint.

The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Accountability and Implementation Board (AIB) was created through legislation based on the recommendations of the Commission on Innovation and Excellence in Education (known as the Kirwan Commission after its chair, Brit Kirwan).
